Police have arrested a zookeeper in Yogyakarta for allegedly embezzling money that was supposed to be used to feed five tigers at the zoo, causing the endangered animals to become severely malnourished, local media reported.

A staff of Gembira Loka Zoo in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, Sag (37 years) was arrested for corrupting money which was supposed to buy goat meat to feed 5 tigers at the zoo but instead he spent the money to pay down payment and instalment of a car which he bought by credit. The money he manipulated is IDR90,000,000 (USD7,000).
