The Scorpion foundation today (Friday, 29/04) sends a new
report to the head of the Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) Central
Java because various illegal wildlife are on sale in Depok wildlife market in
Solo, Central Java.
Scorpion investigator visited this market on Wednesday
(27/4) an found many wildlife on sale here. From the visit, Scorpion found that
the wildlife entered Depok market without distribution permit (SATS-DN) from
BKSDA where the animal came from.
According to Regulation of the Minister of Forestry No.
447/Kpts-II/2003 concerning administration directive of harvest or capture and
distribution of the specimens of wild plant and animal species (Article 61), “All and any activities of domestic
commercial distribution shall be covered by Permit for Domestic Transport of
Wild Plants and Animals (SATS-DN).” Therefore, wild animals distributed without
SATS-DN are illegal.
