Close down all illegal wildlife sales in Indonesia. The wildlife belongs in the wild. Indonesian Law No. 5/1990 says: Every person who kill, capture, keep protected species (alive or dead) can be sentenced to five years in jail and fine of IDR100 million (US$7,400.00).
Scorpion Insists the Wildlife Authority to Close Down “Illegal” Zoo in Tasikmalaya (September 6, 2016)

The Scorpion Wildlife Trade Monitoring Group insists that the Wildlife Authority (BKSDA) in West Java province close down Plaza Asia Mini Zoo in Tasikmalaya for allegedly unlicensed by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. Besides no permit, this zoo does not handle the animals in this mini zoo properly.

 

On August 25, 2016 Scorpion investigator found that in animal cages in the Mini zoo, drinking water for animals was not available 24/7.

 

The Scorpion Foundation reported the cruelty to animals in Plaza Asia Mini Zoo to the Wildlife Authority (BKSDA) West Java on Tuesday, 6th of September 2016. Cruelty to elephant in Bandung zoo was also included in the report. Scorpion foundation found an elephant here chained on two legs causing the elephant unable to move freely.

Protected animals are also found in this "illegal" Mini Zoo.
