Pada hari Minggu (06/12), SCORPION menerima seekor monyet ekor panjang (Macaca fascicularis) didalam karung beras di Kantor BBKSDA-SU Medan. Monyet ini dirantai di pinggangnya.
Menurut pengakuan Ismail, warga yang menyerahkan monyet ini kepada pihak otoritas (BBKSDA SU), monyet jantan ini ditangkap masyarakat karena telah menimbulkan konflik dan telah menggigit warga lokal.
Dengan dibantu salah satu dokter hewan senior di Sumatra, drh Anhar Lubis, monyet yang malang ini dilepas rantai diperutnya, diobati luka-lukanya dan diberi vitamin (08/12). Setelah proses rehabilitasi singkat di Kantor SCORPION Medan, kemudian monyet tersebut dibawa ke Pusat Transit Satwa BBKSDA di Stabat, Sumatra (11/12).

On Sunday (06/12), SCORPION received a long-tailed monkey (Macaca fascicularis) in a rice sack at the BBKSDA-SU Medan Office.This monkey is chained at his waist.
According to Ismail, the resident who handed over the monkey to the authorities (BBKSDA SU), the male monkey was caught by the community because it had caused conflict and had bitten local residents.
With the help of one of the senior veterinarians in Sumatra, drh Anhar Lubis, this poor monkey had his stomach chain removed, treated for wounds and given vitamins (08/12).
After a short rehabilitation process at the SCORPION Medan office, the monkey was then taken to the BBKSDA Animal Transit Center in Stabat, Sumatra (11/12).
