On Sunday, September 06, 2020, Field Staff of Scorpion Foundation carry out an outreach activity to Simaninggir village, Marancar sub-district of South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra Province. Local villagers said they had seen four orangutans (Pongo Tapanuliensis) entering the plantation area near the Aek Malakkut river. To avoid the risk of human-orangutan conflict occured, field staf of Scorpion Foundation encourage the local villagers to not capture orangutan and must be report it soon as possible to Wildlife Authority Agency (BKSDA) when orangutan entering their plantation area.
