Posted on 16:55 November 28th, 2023

Batu Horing, Batangtoru;- Scorpion Foundation field staff visited Batu Horing Village, Batangtoru subdistrict of South Tapanuli on the 19th of October 2023 and met with the farmers in Silahia hamlet of the village.

During the meeting, the farmers requested to Scorpion Foundation to help them in their chili gardens. In return, they would help to prevent illegal hunting in the village. It was agreed in the meeting that Scorpion Foundation would help them to develop chili gardens to increase community income.

With this support, it is hoped that their activities in the forest, and subsequently be reduced, and minimise illegal logging and illegal hunting.
