Joint Patrol in Simatorkis, West Angkola subdistrict, South Tapanuli (October 11, 2023)

            Simatorkis, Angkola Barat;- On the 11th of October 2023, the Scorpion Foundation together with BBKSDASU conducted a patrol in Dolok Lubukraya Nature Reserve in the Simatorkis Village, West Angkola subdistrict, South Tapanuli Regency. During the patrol, the team discovered a salak plantation inside the conservation area. The team has checked the boundaries of the area to ensure that the salak plantation is indeed within the nature reserve area. BBKSDASU has not yet taken any action against the owner of the salak plantation because it still requires further discussions to define what actions need to be taken to resolve this.
