Close down all illegal wildlife sales in Indonesia. The wildlife belongs in the wild. Indonesian Law No. 5/1990 says: Every person who kill, capture, keep protected species (alive or dead) can be sentenced to five years in jail and fine of IDR100 million (US$7,400.00).

Scorpion’s Report on Protected Species Sales in Ajibarang Wildlife Market Ignored by BKSDA Central Java (April 27, 2016)

Seven working days after Scorpion Foundation sent report and photographs of protected species sale in Ajibarang wildlife market, Banyumas, Central Java province, until today (27th of Aril 2016) the market has not been raided by the Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSADA) Central Java, a source told Scorpion Foundation today.

5 Tigers Hungry for Almost 1 Year Because a Zoo Staff Corrupts Money for Meat to Buy Car and Motorbikes (April 26, 2016)

A staff of Gembira Loka Zoo in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, Sag (37 years) was arrested for corrupting money which was supposed to buy goat meat to feed 5 tigers at the zoo but instead he spent the money to pay down payment and instalment of a car which he bought by credit. The money he manipulated is IDR90,000,000 (USD7,000).

TripAdvisor Under Pressure to Stop Promoting 'Cruel' Wildlife Tourist Attractions (April 26, 2016)

An international animal welfare organisation has launched a campaign calling on travel website TripAdvisor to stop promoting and selling tickets to wildlife tourist attractions that it says are cruel to animals. Illegal Wildlife in Pramuka Market (Jakarta) Reported Again by Scorpion Foundation to BKSDA Jakarta (April 26, 2016)

Scorpion Foundation today sends another report to the head of the Natural Resource Conservation Agency (BKSDA) Jakarta reporting illegal wildlife traffic in Pramuka wildlife market. The the wildlife entered Jakarta without transport permit from BKSDA office where the wildlife came from.
