The Wildlife Authority Confiscates a Slow Loris in Medan, Sumatra (January 30, 017)

The Wildlife Authority (BBKSDA) in North Sumatra confiscated a slow loris in Medan on Monday night (30/01/2017). This protected animal was kept by a student at Jalan Sisingamangaraja Medan. The slow loris is a female around 2 years of age.


The confiscation was carried out by a team of BBKSDA, the Indonesian Species Conservation Programme (ISCP) and a volunteer from the Scorpion Foundation.


The slow loris is now under the care of BBKSDA and the ISCP, and will be released to the wild when ready.
