THE WILDLIFE TRADE MONITORING GROUP

 Elephants in Taru Jurug Animal Park are chained by two legs (front and back legs). With the two legs chained, the elephants in this animal park cannot move freely and this can make them stress.

The Scorpion has already reported this to the head of the Wildlife Authority (BKSDA) in Central Java province, copied to the director Biodiversity Conservation at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.

Pictures of the elephants were also attached to the report from the Scorpion visit to the park on the 26th of January 2017.
