The Scorpion Wildlife Trade Monitoring Group requested the Wildlife Authority (BKSDA) in Central Java stops cruelty to animals in Mangkang Zoo, Semarang.

Scorpion investigator visited Mangkang Zoo in Semarang, Central Java province of Indonesia on the 25th of January 2017 and found elephant chained by two legs causing the elephant unable to move freely and looked stress.

The official letter of Scorpion was sent to the BKSDA Central Java on the 2nd of February 2017, copied to the Director of Biodiversity Conservation at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
