Close down all illegal wildlife sales in Indonesia. The wildlife belongs in the wild. Indonesian Law No. 5/1990 says: Every person who kill, capture, keep protected species (alive or dead) can be sentenced to five years in jail and fine of IDR100 million (US$7,400.00).
Protected Animal Trader in Barito Arrested (October 5, 2016)

Environmental Resources sub-section at the Special Crime Investigation Unit of Jakarta provincial police, today announced that the unit busted illegal trade of protected animals in Barito, South Jakarta.

 

Public Relation head of Jakarta Police, Chief Commissioner Awi Setiyono told the media in Jakarta today, the trader was a woman with initial “P”. “P” did not display the animals in her shop but hide them under a table. The animals include Yellow-crested cockatoo (Cacatua sulphurea), Purple-naped Lory (Lorius domicella), Bali myna (Leucopsar rothschildi), and Black-winged Myna (Acridotheres melanopterus)

 

Two other wildlife traders via Facebook (initials ARM and FS) were also arrested for trading of protected slow lorises.
