On Friday, June 26, 2020, Field Staff of Scorpion Foundation carry out an outreach activity to Batu Satail village, Sipirok sub-district of South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra Province. During this visit, local villagers said that three days before, a Tapanuli orangutan has been seen entering L. Simanjuntak's plantation area. To avoid the risk of human-orangutan conflict occured, field staf of Scorpion Foundation encourage the local villagers to not capture orangutan and must be report it soon as possible to Wildlife Authority Agency (BKSDA) when orangutan entering their plantation area. Batu satail village locates near the border of Dolok Sibual-buali Nature Reserve-the habitat of the Tapanuli orangutan.
