Awareness Campaign for Protection of Tapanuli Orangutans at HKBP Church, Sipan Village, Central Tapanuli Regency (May 24, 2021)

HKBP Church in Sipan village, Sarudik subdistrict, Central Tapanuli Regency celebrated the presence of the spirit of Jesus Christ (24/05/21),  Priest Janner Pardede appeared to be the main speaker at the celebration. 

In his speech, Janner talked about the importance of following the teaching of Jesus Christ. He also included a message to about 300 audience so that they did not hunt orangutans, tigers, and other protected animals as they were protected by the Indonesian law.

Sipan Village is located in the Western Block of the Batang Toru Ecosystem, which is the home to Critically Endangered Tapanuli orangutans.

Dalam acara keagamaan kedatangan Roh Kodus di Gereja HKBP Desa Sipan, Kecamatan Sarudik, Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah, Sumatera Utara, Pendeta Janner Pardede menyampaikan ke sekitar 300 orang jemaah yang hadir agar tidak memburu Orangutan, harimau, dan beberapa jenis satwa dilindungi lainnya sebagaimana anjuran pemerintah. Desa Sipan berada di Blok Barat Ekosistem Batangtoru, yang merupakan rumah bagi Orangutan tapanuli (24/05/21)
