Posted on 11:33 April 09th, 2020

A female slow loris (Nycticebus coucang) was kept illegally in Simpang Balik village in Wih Pesam subdistrict of Bener Meriah regency. A Scorpion investigator reported this finding to the local BKSDA in Takengon on the 06th of April 2020 but again because it was only one animal, the BKSDA did not enforce the law against the owner. The Slow loris was finally released back in the wild on protected forest in Bukit subdistrict of Bener Meriah regency.
