From monitoring of Scorpion Investigator in the zoo today (Sunday, 15 May 2016), visitors were free to make direct contact with the orangutans. This can pose a health problem because human diseases can be transmitted to the orangutans as human DNA has 97% similarity with orangutans.’

One of the tigers, Elsa, already passed away, but another tiger, Giring, is still alive in a cage 3x3 meters size.

There will no longer be any direct contact or interaction between visitors and the big cats.

On Thursday (12 May 2016) Scorpion Investigator visited this markets and saw there were still so many birds on sale in this market. Scorpion was informed by several traders that the birds were brought to Jakarta without transportation permit (SATS-DN) from BKSDA.
