Wildlife Monitoring in Ramba Sihasur Village, Sipirok Subdistrict, South Tapanuli (May 7, 2024)

Scorpion Foundation team carried out a wildlife monitoring in Ramba Sihasur village on May 7,  2024. The purpose of the monitoring was to monitor presence of protected wildlife (such as orangutan) to prevent human-wildlife conflicts in the village.

During the monitoring, the team did not encounter any orangutan but found an orangutan nest. In addition, they also discovered an Asian forest tortoise (Manouria emys), and foot prints of wild boar.
