The Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme (SOCP) organised a farewell gathering at the SOCP/YEL office in Medan (Friday, September 4, 2015) for Gunung Gea who resigns from SOCP to establish and direct SCORPION Foundation-a new NGO working for monitoring the illegal wildlife trade in Indonesia.

The SOCP Director, Dr. Ian Singleton in his brief talk expressed his gratitude to Gunung Gea, who worked as Deputy Director of the SOCP from February 2009 to August 2015. “He made some good decisions in solving problems when I am away,” Dr. Ian Singleton said.

In the farewell gathering, the SOCP Director Dr. Ian Singleton gives a momento (orangutan picture) to Gunung Gea.
