A tiger cub pounced a young girl in Kediri. In relation to that tragic event, the Scorpion Wildlife Trade Monitoring Group on Wednesday, 15th of March 2017, issued a Press Release urging the government to stop all cruel attractions and photo props with the wildlife throughout Indonesia.
As wildly publicized by many Indonesian print and online media, a young girl was pounced by a tiger cub in Kediri while having the tiger as photo prop.

Previously, Scorpion Foundaiton sent
a letter via email to the Minister of Environment and Forestry, Mrs. Siti
Nurbaya Bakar, copied to Director General of Natural Resources and Ecosystem Conservation,
and Director of Biodiversity Conservation on 10 February 2017. There has not
been any reply to the Scorpion’s letter yet.
In addition to the letter,
Scorpion has also launched a petition asking to stop all wildlife attraction
and photo props with wildlife because they are not only endanger human lives but
they are also a form of animal cruelty. Below is a link the petition of

"Before the tragic event in
Kediri, we have reminded the Ministry of Environment and Forestry to immediately
stop all wildlife attraction,” Marison said.
The Scorpion Foundation noted
some zoos and safari parks in Indonesia used the wildlife as photo props
including in Taman Safari Cisarua Bogor, Taman Safari Prigen Pasuruan, Bali Zoo
and Gembiraloka, Yogyakarta.
