Joint Patrol with Forest Management Unit (KPH) Area X Padangsidimpuan (April 1, 2024)

The Forest Management Unit (KPH) Area X Padangsidimpuan carried a joint patrol mission in South Tapanuli on the 1st of April 2024. The patrol team visited a permanent production forest area in Tangsi hamlet of Marancar Godang village. 

Purpose of the patrol in the area was to monitor illegal activity in the area.

No illegal activity was discovered during the patrol, however, this activity was very important to prevent illegal activity against the tapanuli orangutans and their habitats.

Scorpion Indonesia Foundation actively monitor tapanuli orangutan in East and West Batangtoru Metapopulations. 

The Orangutan Project (TOP) support annually support Scorpion Foundaiton Indonesia for orangutan protection in Tapanuli.
