Forest Rangers of BBKSDASU Visits New Orangutan Monitoring Post in Simaninggir (May 1, 2024)

The Forest rangers of BBKSDASU together with Scorpion Indonesia Foundation visited the New Orangutan Monitoring Post in Simaninggir village, Marancar subdistrict of South Tapanuli Regency on May 1, 2024.

The joint team monitored the area by using the Post facility (telescope).

Scorpion Foundation currently has two orangutan monitoring posts including one in Simaninggir, Marancar subdistrict, for West Batangtoru Metapopulation, and another one in Ramba Sihasur for East Batangtoru Metapopulation.
