BBKSDASU Evacuates an Electrocuted Pig-tailed Macaque from  Tebing Tinggi (November 2, 2024)

BBKSDASU evacuated an electrocuted pig-tailed macaque from the  Fire Department (DAMKAR) of Tebing Tinggi in Tebing Tinggi city on Saturday, November 2, 2024.


Prior to the evacuation the DAMKAR had already captured the macaque and kept it at the DAMKAR office.

In response to the report about this macaque, Joni Pasaribu from the BBKSDASU asked Scorpion Foundation to help evacuate the macaque.

On the same day, the macaque had been translocated to the Scorpion Macaque Rescue Center in Pulo Lubang, Hapesong Baru.

The macaque is currently undergoing health care and treatment for injuries caused by electric shock. After two weeks of treatment, his condition seemed to be getting better.
