The Wildlife Authority (BBKSDA-SU) field office in Padangsidimpuan and Scorpion Foundation released a Leopard cat in the wild in Dolok Sipirok Nature Reserve, Batang Toru Ecosystem, on Saturday, the 5th of February, 2022. The leopard cat was captured by a villager in Padangsidimpuan recently and handed it over to the BBKSDA-SU field office in Padangsidimpuan.
Prior to the release, veterinary doctor of Scorpion Foundation, Icha Novita examined the condition of this wild cat and considered to be ready for release in the wild.
