Close down all illegal wildlife sales in Indonesia. The wildlife belongs in the wild. Indonesian Law No. 5/1990 says: Every person who kill, capture, keep protected species (alive or dead) can be sentenced to five years in jail and fine of IDR100 million (US$7,400.00).
Scorpion writes again to Natural Resource Conservation Agency (BKSDA) Asking to Close Down Illegal Wild Birds Sale (November 19, 2015)

Scorpion foundation sent another letter to BKSDA in North Sumatra asking to close down illegal wild birds sale at Jalan Sudirman Medan. Scorpion investigator visited Jalan Imam Bonjol Medan on Sunday (November 15, 2015) and found the sale continued.

Over 1,000 small birds were on sale in front of Buddhist temple at Jalan Imam Bonjol on Sunday. The birds were placed in three narrow cages with some rice to feed the birds but no water inside the cages. In previous Sunday,  Scorpion already visited the location and asked BKSDA to close the this illegal wildlife sale, however, on last Sunday, the sale continued.
