Scorpion and Wildlife Authority (BBKSDA) Rescue Two Protected Birds in Langkat, Sumatra (December 13, 2016)

The team from Scorpion Wildlife Trade Monitoring Group and from the Wildlife Authority (BBKSDA) in North Sumatra rescued 2 protected birds from illegal petting in Kacangan Village, Secanggang sub-district of Langkat in North Sumatra province on Tuesday (13th of December 2016). The two birds arrived savely at the BBKSDA office Tuesday night.

The owner of the bird, Supardi (37 years), refused to handover his birds to BBKSDA but after receiving explanation of regulation pertaining to wildlife protection, he later signed the handover document. (Photo: Scorpion)
