The Scorpion Foundation and Leopard Brigade of SPORC Jointly monitored wildlife markets at Jalan Merak Jingga Medan on Friday, 26th of February 2016. The visit aimed to check protected species in this market, and to socialise laws and regulation related to wildlife protection.
During the visit, SCORPION team disseminated list of Indonesian protected species as hand out to the traders.
Everyone who hunt, keep, capture protected species can be sentenced up to 5 years in jail and fine of IDR100,000,000.-.
