Sales
of protected and endangered species openly in Sukahaji wildlife market in
Bandung, West Java province, reported by Scorpion Foundation to the Directorate
General of Environment and Forestry Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Environemnt
and Forestry (MoEF). The report which was based on Scorpion field visit to the Sukahaji
market, was submitted today, Monday 18th of July 2016.
Scorpion investigator visited the market respectively on 26 and 28 of June, and on 17th of July 2016. During the visits, Scorpion found protected and endangered species such as Leopard cat, Black-winged kite, and endangered Asian forest tortoise (Manouria emys).
In the report, Scorpion offered to help accompanying MoEF team to show where the protected and endangered animals locate.
