Joint Patrol in Batu Satail, Sipirok, South Tapanuli (September 14, 2023)

Sipirok, South Tapanuli: -

Scorpion Indonesia Foundation, together with the wildlife authority (BBKSDASU) visited Batu Satail village in Sipirok subdistrict, South Tapanuli Regency to monitor orangutan presence in the village, 2023/09/14. Participants included: Rendi Azmi (Head of Section  V Sipirok, BBKSDASU), Tagor Sinaga (Staff), Nasir Siregar, Kaston P. Hutabarat, Maulidan Humala Harahap, Aris dedi (Scorpion), Perimadona Rambe  and Pinili Simanjuntak (Volunteers). 

The visit to this village was made because of a report on the 12th of September 2023 informing presence of some orangutans in plantation areas of the village. The team did not encounter orangutan because they were in the village only for a little while.
