A Sumatran tiger roams in Pintu Pohan Dolok Village, Pintu Pohan Meranti subdistrict, Toba Regency. This appearance has caused fear for the village community and the people in the surrounding villages.

In the last one month there have been four buffaloes that have been killed by the tiger. A resident of the village, Norlin Batubara (43), explained to the media that at first they found traces of a Sumatran tiger in the area of the Sigura-gura hydropower plant. Over time, traces of the Sumatran Tiger were seen approaching settlements. In fact, traces of the Sumatran tiger were also found in the area bordering the community's cultivation.

"Children here when they go to school pass through the area. Yes, we are worried that these children will cross paths with tigers," Nolin said Wednesday (30/3/2022) as quoted by Tribun Medan.

"Here, the majority of people are farming and farming. Incidentally, the trail is close to people who are active," he said.

Although since the founding of the village there has never been an incident of residents being attacked by a Sumatran tiger, Nolin hopes that this incident does not happen.
