On Friday 30 September 2022 the Scorpion Indonesia Foundation team visited this village to monitor the development of potato farming activities and freshwater aquaculture. During this visit, the fish feed was also handed over to the Subur and Makmur farmer groups. The visit of the Scorpion team found quite encouraging developments in freshwater fish farming. When we looked at several samples of goldfish, it was found that the growth of the fish was quite good. Currently, the fish has reached an average weight of 200 grams per head. It is estimated that the fish can be harvested in the next 45 days.

During the visit, the Scorpion Indonesia Foundation team also assisted in land preparation for potato cultivation. The stages of land preparation include land clearing and making beds for planting. The part of the stage that is being worked on is the provision of manure or compost. The land area of each group is 1 hectare with a total of 2 hectares. Seed preparation was carried out in coordination with potato seed breeding in Saribu Dolok, Simalungun.

The Scorpion Indonesia Foundation facilitated two farmer groups, Subur and Mawar, in Ramba Sihasur Village, Sipirok Sub-district, South Tapanuli in developing freshwater fish farming and intensifying potato farming. This effort is intended to encourage an increase in people's income.

The Scorpion Indonesia Foundation encourages agricultural intensification in this village to prevent the community from expanding their agricultural area to a conservation area located around the village within the Dolok Sipirok Nature Reserve area. Based on the 2016 PHVA, in Dolok Sipirok and its surroundings (which is referred to as the West Batang Toru Metapopulation (orangutan), there are still around 150 tapanuli orangutans.

Ramba Sihasur Village is known as an enclave village because it is located in a conservation area. There are about 60 families in this village. Even though this village is in the conservation area, because they have been in the village since the colonial era, they still live in the village until now.
