Close down all illegal wildlife sales in Indonesia. The wildlife belongs in the wild. Indonesian Law No. 5/1990 says: Every person who kill, capture, keep protected species (alive or dead) can be sentenced to five years in jail and fine of IDR100 million (US$7,400.00).
Confiscation of Illegal Birds in Medan (October 4, 2017)

The Wildlife Authority (BBKSDA) in North Sumatra Provinceand Scorpion Foundation, also known as Scorpion Wildlife Trade MonitoringGroup, confiscated an illegal bird (black eagle) from  Garuda Luxurious HousingComplex at Jalan Garuda Medan on Wednesday (4th of October 2017).  This bird was placed in front of the illegal owner's house in the Garuda Luxurious Housing Complex for more than one year before the confiscation by BBKSDA.

Prior to that, BBKSDA and Scorpion had confiscated five eagles this year, including  one from Pasar Merah, one from Tanjung Anom, and three from Griya Hotel.  

All birds are kept in BBKSDA Rescue Centre in Sibolangit, Deli Serdang for medical care and will be released when ready.
