Posted on 13:08 February 29th, 2016

A Dolphin was cast onto the beach in Jambo Village, Blang Mangat sub-district of Lhokseumawe, Aceh province of Indonesia on Saturday (27 February 2016). The dolphin has been moved to a coastal pond of local community.

Scorpion Foundation called the office of Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) Aceh chapter to tell them about the dolphin and asked them to immediately release the dolphin because delay of releasing could endanger the life of this protected species.

"I will immediately report this to head of BKSDA and discuss about plan of releasing of the dolphin," BKSDA Aceh staff Annisa Lubis told Scorpion Foundation today (Monday, 29 of February 2016) via telephone.
