Posted on 11:43 May 31st, 2017

The living conditions of orangutans in Kandi Zoo have been improved gradually through improvement of enrichments, training of orangutan keepers, and improved diet.

Early this month, the Scorpion Wildlife Trade Moniting Group, with cooperation of Kandi Zoo and Wanicare Foundation-PPSC, carried out a three day training in Kandi Zoo. The aim of the training was to improve skills of orangutan keepers to upgrade living conditions and improving the diet for orangutans.

Part of the training is also to ensure that animal keepers treat the animals well. Going forward, Scorpion and Wanicare Foundation-PPSC will continue to monitor and cooperate with various parties to ensure that captive animals can live better.

Animals Asia Foundation and Change For Animals Foundation support Scorpion Foundation to end the suffering of captive animals in Indonesia.
