Otoritas satwa liar (BBKSDA SU) bersama staff dari Taman Hewan Pematang Siantar dan Yayasan SCORPION berhasil mengevakuasi 3 ekor monyet (Macaca nemestrina), yang terdiri dari seekor jantan dewasa, betina dewasa dan seekor bayi di desa Kerasaan I, Kecamatan Pematang Bandar, Simalungun, Sumatra (27/04/21).

Kegiatan evakuasi monyet dilakukan untuk merespon aduan masyarakat lokal, telah terjadi konflik, monyet masuk dalam rumah masyarakat dan menyerang beberapa orang warga, 4 orang terluka dalam insiden ini

Sebelumnya Bapak Salluf Tinur Damanik telah memelihara seekor beruk betina selama 10 tahun, dan ditempatkan dipekarangan rumahnya, beruk peliharaannya didatangi pejantan yang masih liar, terjadi birahi dan betina melahirkan anak, Setelah betina melahirkan, jantan menjadi agresif untuk melindungi anaknya, sehingga menimbulkan konflik dengan masayarakat

Saat ini ketiga beruk telah di evakuasi, dan dititip sementara di SCORPION, indukan betina dan bayinya akan direhabilitasi, sedangkan indukan jantan secepatnya akan dilepasliarkan.

Scorpion Menghimbau kepada masyarakat agar jangan lagi memelihara beruk dan kera ekor panjang karena dapat membahayakan jiwa manusia, kepada masyarakat yang terlanjur memelihara untuk melaporkannya ke BBKSDA SU

The monkey evacuation activity was carried out in response to complaints from the local community, there was a conflict, the monkeys entered the community house and attacked several residents, 4 people were injured in this incident.


Previously, Mr. Salluf Tinur Damanik had kept a female monk for 10 years, and was placed in the yard of his house, his pet was visited by a wild male, there was lust and the female gave birth to a child, after the female gave birth, the male became aggressive to protect her child, causing conflict with the community.


Currently the three broods have been evacuated, and are temporarily entrusted to SCORPION, the female sires and their babies will be rehabilitated, while the male sires will soon be released.

Scorpion Appeals to the public not to raise monkeys and long-tailed macaques anymore because they can endanger human lives, to those who have already kept them to report it to BBKSDA SU.
