Close down all illegal wildlife sales in Indonesia. The wildlife belongs in the wild. Indonesian Law No. 5/1990 says: Every person who kill, capture, keep protected species (alive or dead) can be sentenced to five years in jail and fine of IDR100 million (US$7,400.00).
Wildlife hunting in Hapesong Baru, Batangtoru, South Tapanuli, Sumatra (April 19, 2021)

In a wildlife monitoring mission around the Batangtoru Ecosystem, SCORPION field staff found an illegal keeping of a protected bird, a black eagle (Ictinaetus malayensis) in Hapesong Baru village, Batangtoru Subdistrict of South Tapanuli Regency. The bird owner, Erwin Nasution, had been persuaded to hand over the bird voluntarily the wildlife authority because this species of bird is protected by the Indonesian law.

Dalam misi pemantauan satwa liar di sekitar Ekosistem Batangtoru, staf lapangan SCORPION menemukan penjagaan ilegal burung dilindungi, elang hitam (Ictinaetus malayensis) di desa Hapesong Baru, Kecamatan Batangtoru Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan. Pemilik burung, Erwin Nasution, telah dibujuk untuk menyerahkan burung secara sukarela otoritas satwa liar karena spesies burung ini dilindungi oleh hukum Indonesia.
