A Sumatran tiger hunter is prosecuted to three years in prison in Medan Court (December 12, 2017)

A Sumatran tiger hunter, Ismail Sembiring, was prosecuted to three years in prison and a fine of IDR 100 million (Approximately US$7,400) in Medan Court on Tuesday, 12th of December 2017. Ismail Sembiring was previously arrested by Gunung Leuser National Park (GLNP) officers on Sunday (27/8). The GLNP patrol team also confiscated a three years old dead tiger.

The judges adjourned the trial on January 4, 2018 for the agenda of final decision.
