Orangutan Monitoring in Ramba Sihasur village, Sipirok subdistrict of South Tapanuli Regency (April 21, 2024)

Scorpion Indonesia Foundation carried out an orangutan monitoring mission in Ramba Sihasur village, Sipirok subdistrict of South Tapanuli Regency on Sunday, April 21, 2024.

No orangutan was encountered during the mission but 2 old orangutan nests were seen in two different locations in the village.


Two pictures of old orangutan nests discovered in Ramba Sihasur village, Sipirok. A lighter was also discovered in the forest area indicating that people also entered the area.
