Close down all illegal wildlife sales in Indonesia. The wildlife belongs in the wild. Indonesian Law No. 5/1990 says: Every person who kill, capture, keep protected species (alive or dead) can be sentenced to five years in jail and fine of IDR100 million (US$7,400.00).
Bush Meat of Protected Species On Sale Openly (October 9, 2015)

Bush meat of Sambar deer was on sale in Alue Bilie village, Nagan Raya district of Aceh province on Friday, October 9, 2015. Sambar deer is a protected species but it is often on sale openly in Aceh.

The bush meat seller told Scorpion Investigator, he snared the deer on Thursday, October 8, 2015 in Babahrot within the Leuser Ecosystem. In previous week, he also snared 2 sambar deers and sold in Alue Bilie IDR200,000 (US$15) per kilogram.

Sambar deer (Cervus unicolor) is a protected animal. Killing of protected animal is a crime with maxsimum 5 year sentence in jail and fine of IDR100,000,000 (US$7,000), however, this law is rarely imposed in Aceh.
