Two black eagles (Ligtinaetus malaicensis) which were confiscated in Medan last
month finally got the second chance to live in the wild. A source at the Natural
Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) in North Sumatra confirmed to Scorpion on
Monday (April 18, 2016).
The release of the protected eagles, together with 100 other non-protected birds, were carried out by a team of BKSDA North Sumatra led by its new head, Dr. Ir. Hotmauli Sianturi, M,Sc.For.
The release was held at Natural Recreation Park Sibolangit on 12 and 14 of April 2016.
