BBKSDA-Scorpion Joint Patrol Encounters Tapanuli Orangutans (December 2, 2019)

The Tapanuli Orangutan Protection Unit (TOPU) of Scorpion Foundation carried out a joint patrol with the Wildlife Authority (BBKSDA) from Sipirok office in Aek Batang village, Sipirok subdistrict on 2nd of December 2019.

During the patrol, the team encountered two orangutans (a mother and baby). Due to their location when found very close to residential areas, the team drove them to enter the forest for their safety. Being in the same position can endanger them too.
