Close down all illegal wildlife sales in Indonesia. The wildlife belongs in the wild. Indonesian Law No. 5/1990 says: Every person who kill, capture, keep protected species (alive or dead) can be sentenced to five years in jail and fine of IDR100 million (US$7,400.00).
BBKSDA in North Sumatra Confiscates Three Protected Species (March 8, 2016)

The Natural Resources Conservation Agency (Balai Besar Konserasi Sumber Daya Alam/BBKSDA) in North Sumatra confiscated 3 protected animals in Medan on Tuesday, 8th of March 2006 (2 eagles, 1 siamang).

Investigation of these 3 animals is still on going.


The 3 confiscated animals are now at the office of Forest Police Rapid Response Unit (SPORC)-Leopard Brigade (Brigade Macan Tutul) in Medan. (Photos: Scorpion)
