The Provincial Wildlife Authority (BBKSDA) in North Sumatra and the Scorpion Wildlife Trade Monitoring Group rescued a brahminy kite (Haliastur indus), from an illegal owner in Tembung, Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang in North Sumatra province. This bird is now placed at BBKSDA Animal Rescue Centre in Sibolangit for medical care. When ready, this bird will be returned back in the wild habitat. So, it is a new hope for this bird to be free again in the wild.
