Posted on 14:35 May 06th, 2023

A joint team of the Wildlife Authority (BBKSDASU) and Scorpion Indonesia foundation conducted a patrol in Dibio-bio hamlet to monitor illegal activity in Lubuk Raya Nature Reserve.

The joint found some illegal activities in the area including three wildlife snares of illegal hunting, and illegal encroachment.

The joint team also found some newly planted durian trees within the Lubuk Raya Nature Reserve area. Previously, the area was encroached for chili plantation, but it was abandoned because of the warning of the BBKSDASU officials. Now it has begun to be cleared again and planted with Durian trees. This case is still under investigation.
