Scorpion Signs an Agreement with Gunung Leuser N.P.  to Eradicate Illegal Wildlife Hunting and Trade

Scorpion Foundation and the Gunung Leuser National Park authority signed an agreement to eradicate illegal wildlife hunting and wildlife trade in the Gunung Leuser N.P. for 5 years term.

The agreement is signed by the head of the Gunung Leuser N.P. authority, Andi Basrul and Scorpion  Programme Director, Gunung Gea in Soechi International Hotel Medan on Thursday night (14/01/2016).

Through the agreement, Scorpion and the Gunung Leuser N.P. will partner to monitor wildlife hunting and wildlife trade for protection of the wildlife in the Gunung Leuser N.P. area.

In the signing ceremony on Thursday night, the Gunung Leuser N.P. authority also signed other agreements respectively with Orangutan Information Center (OIC), Yayasan Ekosistem Lestari, Vesswic, and WCS.
