Joint Patrol at Dolok Nauli Village, Adiankoting, North Tapanuli (October 30, 2019)

Forest rangers from the Wildlife Authority (BBKSDA) and From Scorpion Foundation carried out a joint patrol at Dolok Nauli village, Adiankoting subdistrict of North Tapanuli regency in N orth Suamtra. This patrol was carried out because of a report from local people about human-orangutan conflicts in this village.

An orangutan has destroyed crops of local people in this village. The team also met with staff of SOCP in this village who was also doing monitoring mission of the orangutan in this village.

One the BBKSDA staff got the chance to see the orangutan for a while but it immediately went to forest near this village.
