Forest Management Unit 10-Padangsidimpuan and Scorpion Foundation Carry Out a Joint Patrol in the West Block of Batang Toru Ecosystem (September 16, 2025)

Sipirok: - The Forest Management Unit-Area 10 (KPH 10) Padangsidimpuan conducted a joint patrol with the Scorpion Indonesia Foundation in a forest area near Bulumario Village, Sipirok subdistrict, South Tapanuli Regency on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

The patrol focused on monitoring the forest and its biodiversity to prevent illegal logging, poaching, and encroachment as early as possible.

During the patrol, the team found no illegal activity in the monitored area but did encounter a siamang playing in the trees.

Regular visits to wildlife habitats, especially those adjacent to residential area, are crucial for preventing illegal activity in the protected forest.
