An Agent of Two Tiger Skins and Bone Arrested in Aceh (March 21, 2016)

Aceh provincial police announced in a press conference today (21 March 2016), an agent of two Sumatran tiger skins and tiger bone was arrested by Special Crime Unit.

The arrest of the agent (initial: AS, 45 years old) took place in Cot Gapu Village in Bireuen, Aceh Province on 17th March 2016. The police investigated the case two days before the arrest.

The police carried out investigation of the case after receiving report from the local community. AS got the skins and bones from M (45 years old) from Takengon, Central Aceh district of Aceh province.

Further investigation of the case is still carried out jointly by the Aceh provincial police and the Natural Resource Conservation Agency (BKSDA) in Aceh. The owner of the tiger skins and bone was able to escape.

"The Police and BKSDA in Aceh are still have a joint investigation of the case," head of BKSDA in Aceh, Genman Hasibuan told Scorpion Investigator in Sumatra.
