Sun Bears in Bandung Zoo Enjoy Fresh Fruits Provided by Scorpion (July 27, 2016)
Posted on 15:00 July 27th, 2016

Scorpion Foundation, on Tuesday (26/07/2016), visited Bandung Zoo to feed the bears in the zoo with bananas and salaks. The bears looked so happy eating the fruits.

Today, Wednesday (27/07/2016) Scorpion return to the zoo again to feed the bears with bananas, papayas, watermelons, and pineapples.

We thank all the donors who have contributed to Scorpion for purchase of fruits to feed the bears in Bandung zoo.

Last week Scorpion communicated with the Zoo officer regarding support for feeding the bears but the offer was rejected by saying “There is nothing wrong with the bears.” Therefore, Scorpion communicated with the government wildlife authority (BBKSDA) in Bandung regarding the support for feeding bears. The plan is still under discussion with BBKSDA in West Java.
