Scorpion Insists the Government to Improve Condition of Sun Bears in Bandung Zoo (January 11, 2017)
Posted on 15:56 January 11th, 2017

The Scorpion Wildlife Trade Monitoring Group insists again the Wildlife Authority (BKSDA) in West Java to improve condition of sunbears in Bandung Zoo.

Last year, Scorpion reported starving bears in Bandung Zoo. One of the bears ate his own dung. Scorpion was informed that this bear was under medical care but the Scorpion was not allowed to see it. That is why Scorpion writes to the head of BBKSDA asking for information of the condition of the bear.

Scorpion investigator visited Bandung Zoo again on Sunday (8/1/2017) and found dirty enclosure and bears here were looking hungry again.

Apart from writing the head of the BKSDA in West Java, Scorpion also runs another NEW PETITION addressed to the Minister of Environment and Forestry asking to improve the condition of the bears in Bandung zoo.
