Taman Safari Indonesia denied that they had drugged the lion, which was revealed to be a cub. A spokesperson for the animal theme park said they have rules in place so that the photo prop cub can get all the naptime he requires.

This finding has been reported to the Director General of Law Enforcement at the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry (MoEF) on 29th March 2016. Following the written report by email, Director of Scorpion Foundation also communicated the case to the Director of Enforcement, Mr. Muhammad Yunus via sms.
